Your recent change in the construction of the sock concerned me, but after purchasing a couple of pairs and trying them out, I would say you improved what I thought were already perfect socks.

My purchase from OldWorldSocks was exactly what I wanted to add to my sock drawer.
I have an athletic build and am not at all diabetic (“health nut”), but I still find that 99% of socks on the American market are simply too uncomfortable to wear because of their inexplicably narrow diameter and/or the “clamp from hell” on the upper elastic band.
However, there is no trace of any discomfort with the OldWorldSocks products – these socks have an effortless stretch which actually let you breathe, and their smooth fit stays unchanged after washing.
My only comment is that I would enjoy seeing a larger selection in the future, either in the design (I like the stripes, but maybe other designs?) or by offering heavy-duty, thicker “hiking” socks that would be good for cold weather.

These Old World socks are great! I’ve tried endless amounts of socks that claim they are loose on top..some might be..but then the width across toes is cramped.
Having a bunion already..that makes matters worse!
They are so comfortable. I ordered the padded ones. I know these are a man’s sock..however..I am a woman with size 12 wide shoe…and find they work out perfectly! I am glad my search is finally over.

I purchased four pairs of socks to see if my husband could wear them as all of the other socks, casual and dressy, left marks on his legs and were quite sore at the end of the day.
My husband loves these socks and they did as the company advertised they would. He said they are extremely comfortable around the calf with all over comfort asking me to purchase more for him. I just emptied out his two large sock drawers and donated them to the homeless shelters and replaced them with the Italian Comfort Socks.
I believe if men are having issues with their socks cutting into their calves they will find these socks irreplaceable.

I have thick calf muscles from working out and these socks are very comfortable for me in my work boots.
I am a police officer so I’m on my feet a lot.
